KEEP YOUR GEAR CLEAN AND OUR WILD PLACES SAFE
As bushwalkers well know, keeping our natural environment safe from weeds, feral animals and diseases is essential but hugely challenging.
What can you do?
Clean your gear after each bushwalk and you can help stop the transfer of smothering weed types and killer diseases spreading into our wild places. Clean off muddy boots, and check for debris buried in socks and clothing.
In 2015 we asked for you to support the Invasive Species Council as they rallied to improve public awareness around protecting wild places.
The Invasive Species Council campaigns to protect Australia’s native plants and animals from the growing threats of weeds, feral animals and diseases. With your help, we can educate more Australians about these dangers and protect the wild places we all love.
